Daniel Thomas is an internationally recognized multi-faceted, multi-dimensional, multitalented bohemian, with choral directing experience that spans over thirty years. He is a singer, songwriter, vocal coach, vocal arranger and producer, choir director, backing vocalist, and keyboardist in genres of dance, gospel, soul, pop, funk, jazz, rock, and classical.
He has previously served as the choir director of The London Community Gospel Choir with which he toured extensively, along with many other choirs both in the UK and abroad – including the Grammy Award-winning Love Fellowship Choir (New York) and the International Mass Choir in Stockholm which comprised of over nine hundred voices from all over the world in 2010. He currently serves as the choir director for the renowned House Gospel Choir where he sometimes features as a lead vocalist. He also serves as a consultant choir director to many church and community choirs running regular ‘boot-camp’ style workshops and master classes with their members as well as facilitating choirs for TV shows, recordings, and music festivals.
He also runs a series of tailored workshops and masterclasses under his brand The Daniel Thomas Experience Choir as a vocal coach he has worked with the likes of Girls Aloud Blue, Boy George, and various X Factor and The Voice contestants. As a backing vocalist, he has worked with Elton John, Luther Vandross, James Brown, Cher, Boy George, Blue, Simon Webbe, Beverley Knight, Peter Andre, Westlife, Lionel Richie, Primal Scream, Spiritualized, The Kooks, The1975 – to name a few. He was also one of the contracted vocal/choral arrangers with the House Gospel Choir for the latest Robbie Williams album (2022).
